That just means I gotta waste time writin' up a stinkin' license! sheesh. Also, for those who have already downloaded it, you'll need the euallegro library stuff, including a few .dll files. I'm going to include them in the .zip file on my web site, and i'll make them available in a separate file if you've already downloaded the original zip file. http://www.cklester.com/robogame Thanks in advance for everybody's help. I've had this game on the burner for two years now. That's what happens when you're raising two kids on your own, workin' full-time hours, going to school part time, very involved with church activities, etc... :) -ck

I couldn't get it started due to missing dll files.. Are they included now? I believe they were eualleg40.dll and alleg40.dll. I don't seem to have them. ~Tom -----Original Message----- From: C. K. Actually, it's very important for determining which bot moves when. It's not complex, as when I play the board game, nobody gets confused about it. For example, if I program my first register with a Move 3, and you program your first register with a Move 1, my bot will be moving first since Move 3s have higher values than Move 1s. What if we were facing each other? That's when it's important. > Having key_commands.txt separate from the main game is a bad idea. > Demo, introductory, learning mode stuff might help. Please review the new stuff and let me know if it's more comprehendable. Thanks, Pete! -ck

That "writing over the play area" is expected behavior. It's just the status messages and they're supposed to do that. I thought you were talking about zooming the board in and out. I'm going to make the font of those status messages smaller, so they won't be so intrusive, but you've seen the status message areas for games like Unreal, right? They're usually to the side or top of the screen, and they overlap the playfield. That's kinda the idea. It's unlikely that will be in the final game, because there's really no need for status messages. It's all goin' on right there in front of you.
