.. far as I know, any shellExecute() always ran independently of it's
'called from' program, in all win32libs.
I sent this little demo in answer to the original question, which simply
opens a modal dialog box to do the shellExecute(), so the main program's
code has to wait for the dialog to close before continuing... as a
simple 'workaround'.
Other ways to get around this would involve
using FindWindow(), ( easy if the shelled proggy is win32lib )
or perhaps EnumWindows(), triggered by a timer?
