Maybe you should post your problems to the list so people can help you instead of just complaining and hoping that people will conform to your desires.. > > Exotica halting with an 'DD_INIT' or 'DDram is out of > memory!!' and stuff like that ain't ideal, ya know? Not very specific, could happen for numerous reasons... Did you read the docs? Did you look at the examples? > All I cna do is draw some small BMPs, everything else > don't work, Direct Input always fails, DDraw runs out > of memory every two seconds, etc. DInput has always worked for me. Never had ANY problems with it.. Probably run out of RAM because you have everything loaded to Hardware memory. Try putting it all in Software memory.. Then load only the essentials to Hardware.. What's your puter Specs? <CLIP>

If you have less than 16MB of VideoRAM, you probably should use software memory mode.. To use software mode, call CFG_VIDEO_MODE. There's also a Memory param in the CREATE3D_DEVICE routine. As well, bitmaps and 3D Textures have params for memory mode.. Chris Euman wrote: > >>Chris Bensler wrote: > >>Every copy of Exotica works without flaw(Nothing serious, or hindering > >>anyways)..
