Rob, Google now allows you to create a targeted search feature. This seems like it might be a good addition to the RDS page. Basically, you can specify sites to focus on when searching, so we could probably get better results than simply using vanilla google. http://www.google.com/coop/ I tried it out using links from the "Other pages" links on the RDS site, plus some of my own bookmarks: http://google.com/coop/cse?cx=002466813801703414856%3Ard8fndrvbyy You can also integrate it with your Adsense account. Generally speaking, I think this can be a powerful tool. Well, I just tried your Euphoria Search Engine, searching for "sequence". None of the results on the 1st and 2nd page (20 items) was related to Euphoria. Regards, Juergen

Yes, I read about that today. Thanks for the demo. I think I'll set up something. BTW, I might do a 3.0.1 release fairly soon, since someone found that Euphoria-coded .dlls, built with 3.0.0, are not working. I've fixed the problem. I just need time to do the release. The wiki, for example. Matt Lewis

I don't know why this is, but then I haven't tried tuning it or digging into the details of how it all works. But I still get only results based from the sites I specified. Or are you referring to the Sponsored Links, maybe? Matt Lewis

It's also funny, that I get several Geman results (on the 1st page!), although the option (o) Web search is chosen, and I believe your list doesn't contain "spieletest.at" or "amazon.de". Since I'm not sure whether you can reproduce my findings (because your system has a different language, and Google recognizes that), I've ZIPed the first results page that I got, and uploaded it here: <http://www.rapideuphoria.com/uploads/eu_google-sequence.zip> Regards, Juergen

It looks like there's some issue when it crosses a language barrier. When I do the search, it claims to be "Matt's Euphoria Search Engine" with the other option being Web search (and it only returns results from the list of pages that I specified). From the FAQ: http://www.google.com/coop/docs/cse/faq.html#7 7. When will the Custom Search Engine be available in other countries? You can use http://www.google.com/coop/cse/ to build a Custom Search Engine for all English language Google domains, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We hope to extend the service to additional countries and languages as soon as we can. I never use any other languages, so I'm not sure if there's an easy way to force it to use english. Since it's google coop, it may take something different than normal google usage. Matt Lewis
