Don't quote me on this, but the vintage that the file is was probably back in
the days when Online meant 'on the computer' and Offline meant 'printed and
bound'

I saw that file online somewhere else, but it wants to install "Online
Help", so I've never bothered with it. The file on my web-site is just a
plain old *.hlp file. You don't have to install anything.

PS: Anything that says "online" and "help" in the same sentence makes me
think you need to be online to use the help file.

2. RE: win32 help file

I beleive that links to a file on the Borland website. I also beleive
Borland paid Microsoft a huge amount of money for re-distribution
rights of the Win API (and probably API doco).

Without reading the licensing terms of the help file I would assume it
is illegal to re-distribute the file (even if it is only a .hlp file)

It is however OK to link to a Borland or Microsoft web server that
hosts that file.

Besides, who would wanna develop wonderful programs to get people to use
and pay for the OS?

I believe the reason it was posted here is because people could not connect
to the MS or Borland sites. I am glad i got it, but i got it yrs ago from Eu
archives..
