1. PD Interp code changes.

I think that there is going to be a problem with users coming up with different versions of the interp. and placing them in the archive. For instance one user makes changes an places them in the archive and another user makes changes and places their version in the archive. Now no one will know if a changes were made on top of b changes or upon the offical version. The next question is how will anyone know which files have been altered and how were they altered from the offical version. This is going to cause a lot of confusion and more problems than include/namespace problems. The changes have to be controlled and documented. Bernie My files in archive: w32engin.ew mixedlib.e eu_engin.e win32eru.ew Can be downloaded here: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/cgi-bin/asearch.exu?dos=on&win=on&lnx=on&gen=on&keywords=bernie+ryan

> I've tried to be very careful in marking my alterations: Yes, me too. My changes are all marked with -- GTH. This is one reason, however, why I'm reluctant to release source code. Only having executables out there means that I'm the only one that has to worry about my code. ~Greg

I am planning to hijack this very problem and create a central place for various mods, hopefully maintaining one main version with the best bits (though that will be in my opinion, of course). I created a page (blimey, 3 weeks ago!) which I haven't updated since and still only contains the original beta, so for now for info only: http://palacebuilders.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/pdeuex.htm I hope to add a few things in the next few days, first thing will be an IL "disassembler" which is nearly ready. I will host or link any open source version (3 in the pipe) or other useful stuff on request. Regards, Pete

That's been on my list for a while now, though I have no idea when I'd be able to get around to it. (I think you mean alpha, unless Rob has been secretly sharing with you.) Matt Lewis PS I've squashed lots of bugs, and the preprocessor is looking pretty robust right now. I've got a rough ability to trace working. I'll probably post an updated source (probably no binaries right now) later today.

And for the version problems, one could use a patch generator to check the differences between two files. Regards, Alexander Toresson Shhh! Be vewy quiet! I'm hunting wuntime ewwows!
