I delete this statement and then try to run from IDE addressbook7.prj. I still get the error. I do not find the include statement in the prj file? You can't modify the *.exw file and expect the *.prj file to be updated. In fact, it works the other way around. In the prj file, make sure the main window is selected, then right click on it and choose View Code (or whatever). In the drop down box where it says "General," change it to "Intro" or whatever. The include statement might be in there.

I have searched the project and do not find the reference to DATABASE.E . renamed the Addressbook7.exw and let the IDE recreate the project file. Does anyone else have problems running Judith's IDE 0.18.22 with Win32Lib 0.60.6? It seems to ignore most of my mouse clicks; e.g. When it opens, I can click the maximize or close button on the Form Design window, and nothing happens. Sometimes if I open the Ruler tool and play around with it for a minute, the Form Design window will suddenly begin responding (although similar problems continue, e.g. I can't add anything from the toolbar usually, although once in a while one or two clicks will work). I'm using Windows XP SP2, and Eu 2.5. Thanks, Michael Bolin

To try to solve the problem, I am rewriting the major windows but have run into a stumble (see my above post). As soon as I have a solution I will issue a new IDE. You might use Andy Drummond's bound IDE. It is bound with win32lib 0.60.4 and his machine is an XP. Andy's bundle is in the Archives. judith evans

The same thing happens when I try to stretch the width, I have to undock the treeview, and properties move them resize then dock them back. I hope this made some sense. You have Window1, for example, whose size is larger than the Form window. So part of that window is under the Form scrollbars. Ok so far? If you mean you can not access that area (under Form's scrollbars) without undocking Form or undocking 1 or more of the other windows, why not simply move the Form scrollbars to their maximum limits which effectively moves Window1 to its limits? If you need to access the left side of Window1 under the scrollbar then scroll the horizontal scrollbar to its min size. If you mean you want to resize Window1 to a size that happens to be under Form's scrollbars then I would recommend using Properties 'width' and 'height' to adjust Window1 until I have fixed the problem. Let me know which of these is the problem. And of course, if I have completely misunderstood the situation, let me know that as well ~judith evans

Try this, start the IDE, and Maximize it, then Maximize the Form Design window. Then what I tried to do, was to click on the bottom of window1 so I get the resize cursor (up and down arrow), then pull it down, it will only go to the bottom of the design window, I figured the correct behavior would be to create scroll bars and allow me to continue to drag it down, but it stops at the bottom, if you undock the control pallette, it will increase the size of the design form, and then you can go to the bottom of the IDE with the form. If you then redock the control pallette, it will then create the scroll bar for the height. I hope this makes more sense now. DUH! I guess I had a brain drain, I didn't think of using the width and height properties, after all this time of using it, you would think I would have thought of something that simple. Later. I have a problem with the ordering of code within the IDE. There is some code within the mainwin_onOpen event, that calls the procedure listed for the button_onClick event. Now, the way that the IDE has put the code into the exw means that the procedures are in the wrong order for the above to happen, and it can't find the procedure it needs. How do you change the order of things? ======================= Patrick Barnes Information Systems Group 201 Elizabeth St, Sydney Patrick.Barnes at transgrid.com.au Ext: 91-3583 Ph:(02) 9284-3583 Mob: 0410 751 044 *********************************************************************** ***********************************************************************
