1. Greetings / Benchmarks

Greetings Everyone! I just recently downloaded Euphoria and have been gleefully messing about with it. In reading Jason Leit's thread on benchmarks, I began to wonder if anyone has tried longer benchmarks between C/C++ and Euphoria. From my understanding, Euphoria has very robust garbage collection. Would this help even out the speed difference between C and Euphoria in longer applications where poor memory collection would cause losses in the performance of C? I am guess that it would not, but one can always hope. ;) BTW Jason - on a funny side note, I am a 1/2 Belgian living in Canada. :) My father was a Belgian national whose parents moved to Canada when he was a child. But then again, I didn't even know what garbage collection was untill today :) >BTW Jason - on a funny side note, I am a 1/2 Belgian living in Canada. :) >My father was a Belgian national whose parents moved to Canada when he was >a child. Haha that's funny! Maybe we should all swap countries sometime :) Belgium lost against Turkey at Euro2000 yesterday, marking the end of Belgium in the contest. They lost 2-0 :( But then again, I'm for Italy, and they won against Sweden 2-1 yesterday! Italia per sempre!!! >Ciao, > >Zak Greant >Creative Director >Nucleus Information Service Inc. > >"I am rather like a mosquito in a nudist camp: I know what I ought to do, >but I don't know where to begin." >- Stephen Bayne ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

Yeah, well they only won cos the swedish team _sucks_ when it comes to scoring goals. The keyword for sweden is "träben". > >I am for Slovenia and they will beat Norway on Wendesday. > !!!!ZAHOVIÈ IS >THE KING!!!!! > I wanted them to win too, but at least norway is out and that's all that matters.. Norge suger!!!!! :) >I am for the Netherlands. They will beat everyone and win the cup! > Hmmm.. that remains to see. I think they've been put against jugoslavia in the quarter. >Woehahahahaha!!!
