1. webserver proxy

I feel up a creek without the paddle, or vice versa.... I was asked to do a commercial project for a web dot-com last nite (in real life, by the owner, handshakes and all that stuff). The same ole problem is with me however, i cannot have my ip on his webpages, unfiltered from abuse. I akicked another ^%$&$% from channels on irc last nite, for abusing Tiggr, it's a common problem. So what i need, for those willing to give it a try, is a program to: 1) run on a remote nix box <clueless kat-look> 2) read ini file when user connects, 3) filter by the contents of the ini file (ip#) 4) filter based on number of contacts per minute 5) filter based on contacts per ip per minute 6) return a file i provide if i am not available, if the rate of requests is exceeded per ip#, per global volume, or if the ip is bing "firewalled" from me. 7) and most importantly, connect to me (or maintain a connection i initiate) so the user on the front door sees my services transparently, but not know i am there for the dot-com. The results will be appear in a frame in the user's browser. I would prefer to own the program you develop, written in Eu, so i can use it where needed. Any takers? Kat

Repeatedly asking for the same information, over and over, every nite, in several channels where the bot is, when once was enough, when one channel of text was enough, and when the information isn't even needed. And when they have been asked to stop it. How many times do you need to get details on who Zu is? And why would you care who Zu is, when you (not you, CK) are an atheist? He even asked the same questions in the same order every night. Then he repeatedly tried assorted words like "hi", "hello", "hi bot", "bot hi", "hello, bot", "hello bot", "hello Tiggr", "Hello [Tiggr]", "hello, [Tiggr]","HELLO Tiggr", ""!hello", etc, ad naseum. When Tiggr said hi once or twice and then ignored the idiot, he assumed she was broken and got verbally abusive (knowing i'd read it), as if a human who ignored such stupidity was also broken. Research of online search engines' query logs reveals the most common question is to the query engine itself, of a porn nature. Tiggr gets them too. Hence i want a http proxy that i can set to allow hidden connections to me, filtered per the ini files i can ftp to the site. Ask 500 questions per sec, and i get the first one, and packetdrop the rest on the server, so my <assorted expletives> Alabama dialup isn't swamped. I wasn't going to filter based on content, just bandwidth and request of the size, so i won't get 500 "requests" that are in the form of "What is:" followed by a copy/paste of a 40gig hard drive dump. People have tried that in irc too, luckily irc limits the question to ~500 characters for me. Kat
