Following the last comments about apt. We have a real Euphoria installer program only in Windows plataform Even the install.html document in the web only mentions WIN32 and not other plataforms. The Linux installation must to be done by hand. We miss .deb or .rpm packings. The people with a real DOS system must to install first on a Windows machine to copy the files and install by hand. Old euphoria versions had a nice DOS installer, but is not more available. Will be good to have a DOS installer, or at least a zip or 7zip file with the required files for DOS May be a simple script can generate from the sources this files. If we want to get more people know Euphoria is important the the language become included in the distributions of several Free OS available today, as Freedos (MsDos compatible), ReactOS (Win32 compatible), and all the Linux flavors. If that ever gets done for Euphoria, the next step is wxEuphoria.

I've been playing around with rpms and built two RPMs for Euphoria (both binaries and source). As a test, this RPM installs Euphoria on: /usr/bin (exu, bindu, ecu) /usr/lib (ecu.a) /usr/share/euphoria/include (include files) /usr/share/euphoria/doc (docs) Any suggestions about what better locations could be? Regards

Euman, I'm using reg.ew and it works great on all Windows OSes from 95 to XP. Maybe you're trying to access more "secure" areas of the registry than I... ----- Original Message ----- From: <euman at bellsouth.net> Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2002 7:33 AM Subject: Euphoria Installer Hello all, As most of you know I submitted a experimental GUI for an installer front end last year that I just havent finished (Registry read/write on 2k,XP + File I/O). needs completion.
