yeah, but it's in image.e, not win32lib. look in library.doc under save_bitmap or whatever Lewis Townsend wrote: > Hello all, > > Is there a way to write BMP files in win32lib? > If not, there should be. > > later, > Lewis Townsend > >

Hello Sephiroth >yeah, but it's in image.e, not win32lib. look in library.doc under >save_bitmap or whatever I thought image.e couldn't be used with win32lib, I'll try it. Okay, I found a routine IN win32lib that I can use to save a pixmap to a bitmap file. The only problems are: 1. It only creates 256 color bitmap files 2. It doesn't work most of the time; the funtion just fails (returns 1) I am seeking a more "robust" routine. Something that can write 24bit bitmaps and always works unless the file is already open. I'll be browsing through the archives but any help is welcome. later, Lewis Townsend

So all you have to do is use any windows resource editor to create any bitmap and use my library to display it. Maybe you might find it usefull if you can write your program with it. Let me know how it works. Bernie

I have a windows library (.ew) that can read and write 8,15,16 & 24 bit BMPs. It works together with win32lib afaik (no name-collitions that is). I could send it along if you want it.
