I thought image.e couldn't be used with win32lib, I'll try it.

Okay, I found a routine IN win32lib that I can use to save a pixmap
to a bitmap file. The only problems are:
1. It only creates 256 color bitmap files
2. It doesn't work most of the time; the funtion just fails (returns 1)

I am seeking a more "robust" routine. Something that can write 24bit bitmaps 
and always works unless the file is already open.

I'll be browsing through the archives but any help is welcome.
