Anyone want to tell me why programs that are shrouded and basically have no meaningfull code get votes on the RDS website...? I dont understand. I could care less if anyone voted for my stuff but there are alot of better tools and code getting passed by... I'll make a point to submit my votes each month, maybe we should have a voters day to remind people to vote... [ If there isnt anything worth voting for we'll all vote for the most effort put fourth. ] I always wondered about some of the programs that do get votes. Could this be a conspiracy, two or three friends who all vote on each others code so they wont have to pay for Euphoria? Could be! anyone? < This was not intended to be taken seriously > Euman euman at bellsouth.net

The Euphoria MicroEconomy is obviously very subjective, just like most things in life - your performance evaluation at work, the voting for the Academy awards etc. etc. but I think it is somewhat in line with reality, and serves a useful purpose. As far as I can tell there is no cheating going on - no voting for oneself, no trading of votes. I wish more registered users would vote each month, but I don't want to keep soliciting people to do so. I don't mind at all giving up $3, which is just a discount, not real money anyway. I'd make the amount even higher but then I'd probably need a more secure system. I have to admit that most files are worth a lot more to me in terms of increased registrations, than the amount of MicroEconomy money they've earned. Here's one for ya Rob, If I take an assembled .com program and use a tool created by Davi Figueiredo to include the program as an .e file then turn around and shroud that code and submit it, does this make it euphoria code and should I feel guilt if someone were to vote on this.... I would vote if given the opportunity to not allow shrouded code to be eligible for votes... shrouded code does no-one any justice, does it? Not really fair to those who do put time and energy into submitting code that is actually readable. Since I dont have that right and its not my site its only my opinion I submit. Although, there are a few of us that can read that shrouded code!!! Euman euman at bellsouth.net

OK, I'll set up an automated monthly message to this list, with a MicroEconomy reminder and some other information, Web links etc. I'll look into it after I get 2.3 alpha out.
