Is there a 64-bit Linux version of OE v4.0.5 source code?
I'm running Slax. Not sure I can use the .deb package.

Deb packages for oe4 for 32-bit and 64-bit both contain 32 bit binaries. The "64-bit" is just an installer required by 64-bit systems. (Version oE4.1 will be a genuine 64-bit system.)
The slax deb2sb utility should work to make a module. Try whichever .deb you have on hand.

Thanks. Just installed Slax and didn't know about the deb2sb utility.
I noticed that all versions in the downloads are 32-bit, so I figured the 64-bit was just for building.

JUST the installer will do 4 now as i intend to upgrade 32-bits to 64-bits myself
over the next month or so (IF i can find time 2 do so)

We have a 64-bit version in 4.1. Euphoria up to 4.0 has a lot of 32-bitisms baked into it. I'm not going to stop you from starting down this path, but it's a lot of work and it's already been done.

I can definitely understand that. But that's not really what you're doing if you're trying to start with 4.0 and make it 64-bits. I'm just not comprehending the motivation here. Are you looking to fork euphoria?

Sorry to bring this back to my issue instead of taking over the world, but...
So deb2sb worked great. No problem making a module and activating it.
Now my problem is that although eui is in /usr/bin with read, write, and execute permissions, when I try to run it I get "/usr/bin/eui: no such file or directory"
Being fairly noobish with Linux in general and Slax specifically (although I do run Slackware now and again on my home computer without too much trouble), I'm not sure what to do next. If RTFM is the answer, that is fine. I know this isn't a Linux forum, but an OE one, and my problem is most likely a Linux one.

I'am not really sure but, i do not think Slax is Multiarch out of the Box.
Means, you can't run 32bit programs on a 64bit installation.
OE4.0.x is 32bit only (even if there are 64bit installer).
You could be missing or have mismatched system libraries. What is the output of "ldd /usr/bin/eui"? Make note of any "not found" entries.
