The "Tip of the Week" idea is so good, shouldn't there be a button at the top of the OE site to see accumulated Tips?

Wiki's not a bad place for them, I just thought at the top of the OE site would be a better visual reminder that there are Tips, and to send tips, and slightly easier to find them.

Yeah, there are benefits to either approach. It actually wouldn't be a bad idea to integrate tips into the forum somehow. Especially as a submission. Obviously, that will require changes to the forum and isn't trivial.
The wiki does seem like a good place to put these. We can link to it from wherever, and other people can edit or add to them. And we've already got the mechanism for doing so.

The reason I suggested the forum is that it could be a weekly thing bringing traffic to the website on a weekly basis to read the new Tip of the Week. Also in my thinking is that most people don't visit the wiki or check what's new yet. Being on the forum it would gather more exposure.
It would be cool to archive the Tip of the Week on the Wiki. Maybe that would attract some attention to the wiki which is a great resource.

I don't think POSTINGS of Tips of the Week would bring traffic to the website, as posts "disappear" as new posts come in, whereas if there were a [tips] button at the top of the website, that would be a constant visual reminder to both read and post tips. But I also think they should be archived in the wiki as well.

Remember, you can always do a forum search for 'tip of the week'
How about a tick box to 'show only 1st post in list' as otherwise get the whole thread which lengthens the search results. Or have a button that searches and displays only the Tip of the week titles.

Er, why not post them as news, right on the homepage?
Right now, theres like, one news post every few month month on average- having weekly updates right on the front page would go a long way in making people think "hey, news updates posted just this week, this Euphoria website isn't dead afterall".

Sorry, I wasn't too clear. The Tips button is a good idea and it should link to the collected tips so far, which would be on the wiki. The most recent ToW could also be on the site's home page.

That way I can start storing and releasing them, weekly, into the forum, as first intimated.
Lets not let this descend into the usual morass of ideas with subsequent disagreement and inaction that has so often littered euphorias history. (No, I'm not trying to stifle ideas, just trying to get things moving)
Send me your tips, and we'll let the idea grow and develop over time.

The current focus is on moving to a new host. So far, things are looking pretty good. Once that is done, we can start looking into improving the site more.
