1. Still getting euphoria_40b1.exe error

I renamed all old Euphoria folders and re-installed euphoria_40b1.exe and still get the same error.

convert.e:475

expeted to see posibly 'end', not ','

Don, can you run eui -version from the same directory that caused the convert.e problem?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the same directory that caused the problem'.

When I run f:\euphoria40\include\std/eui -version

I get: is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

my evironmental variables are:

------------------------user variables for owner-------------
EUDIR = f:\euphoria40\

EUINC = f:\EU\football\;f:\winlib\

PATH = f:\euphoria40\bin;f:\euphoria40\bin;f:\euphoria40\bin

  • note this keeps adding a new one at the end every time run euphoria_40b1.exe.

And yes, just as a test I took them all out but one and I still get the same problem.

This is all the variables I have that have to do EUPHORIA. Am I missing something?

Can you please paste here what the exact command line (and path) is that you are using when this error happens?

For instance, does: 

F:\euphoria40\demo> eui animal.ex

Does that work?

Then, I would like if you would try this: 

F:\euphoria40\demo> SET EUINC=F:\euphoria40\include 
F:\euphoria40\demo> eui -version 
F:\euphoria40\demo> eui animal.ex

Please let me know what happens with those commands.

I just download beta 2 and everything is working fine now. So forget beta 1.

Derek,

I believe it was you who said my browser was bad.

Because I wasn't getting any files under 'New Files' in Source Forge.

Somehow I found ver 4 beta 1 on SourceForge.

This is the one I had the trouble with.

I upgraded IE from ver 6 to ver 8.

And low and behold the files showed up under 'New Files'.

I was so jazzed about this I download it without really looking at the file name.

I assumed it was beta 2 because it was supposed to be out Tuesday.

And I read on the forum that Useless was complaining something about beta 2.

I now see that beta 2 is available on SF.

So I can't wait to download that ands see how it works.
