That kind of memory is best for write seldom/read often usage. Flash memory is organized in blocks which are written as a whole. Modern flash memory have firmware in it to distribute write cycles among the blocks to reduce worn out. So if a file is modified, it is not written back at the same block but to another one that as been less often rewritten. regards, jacques DeschĂȘnes
