Re: How you discovered Euphoria?

I learnt BASIC for a couple of years and I was searching some simple programming language. I was simply bored, fed up with games and wanted to learn. At last I found Euphoria 2.3 and I was impressed by - the size of the distribution (<1.4 mb, less than a floppy) - the support for different platforms (although I tried Linux only once) - the binding feature (although my registration represents more the respect for the language than any economical rationalism). Soon after downloading I managed to generate a simple CGI and I analyzed a tab-delimited financial report. I think that's the point where I lost the last hope for learning pivot tables in Excel. Finding the winwire.exw demo also convinced that I'll be able to use Euphoria in Windows if I ever wanted. But it took another few months to that point... Regards, Salix
