I have this problem also. I just keep hitting cancel until it goes away.

I have found this only happens when using the Toolbar Icon and not with the 

File menu\Open.

I'm using Window 2000 and Euphoria 2.5. I hope this helps narrow it down.

One other thing I think in the Option\colors options it would be alot clearer

if you had picutes of the little Braces rather than Brace1 .Brace2,etc..
