VIRUS ALERT!
Mike Swayze sent me a pretty bad Virus about two hours ago.
He is aware of the problem and trying to clean it now.
Lucky for me I had the latest McAfee update and a pretty descent firewall.
Although, this only helped me in that I didnt send it to any of you.
My machine was wrecked without haveing executed or veiwing the virus.
the Virus arived with the name 2songs.mpg.pif
As far as I know, the Virus will arrive with either .pif or .scr on the end
it will create two executable file KERN32.EXE and INETD.EXE
win.ini will have RUN C:\Windows\INETD.EXE and KERN32.EXE
which is a .svr "Server" will attempt to access the Internet and upload
information. It will also rename all of your inbox items to your
sent items name and will generate alot of outgoing viruses to everyone
in your inbox "recieved from" and Contact list.
This is a cleaver virus and should not be taken lightly.
