If you own the: coke.com DNS domain then, by definition of how DNS works, you also own: www.coke.com If I (i.e. NOT the owner of "coke.com") then tried to register: pepisiscool.coke.com then I would be informed that the domain "coke.com" is already registered. Basically if you want: www.myfabcompany.com you would register the domain: myfabcompany.com and then set up a DNS entry under this domain called: www.myfabcompany.com which would point to the IP address of your web server. Any decent domain registration company will be able to explain this 50 times better than I can. If they can't then get your domain registered with someone else! Regards, Andy Cranston.
