Bernie, Just wanted to let you know, the rewrite of the C routine for my listview problem was right. I just hadn't realized that this makes it an owner-drawn control, so I had to catch the LVN_GETDISPINFO msg. Working perfect now, hopefully have something to show for it soon. Thanks for the help Terry
