E2C irritating error!

Simple statisitics:
PD E2C for Borland C++, downloaded yesterday
worked fine, except for a bad emake.bat targeted at LCCwin
thought it might be a dl error, so re-dled today
tried it on a different program
same error.
Anyone else have this problem?
If so, do you know wtf is going on?
