do you have to build the software or the hardware or both? 

if it's the software, Euphoria has the ability (and i think software 
written) to let you connect 2 or more computers. you can learn a lot by 
looking up apps like the "TCP Socket Library" or "Telnet Protocol" and 
seeing what they do... 

if it's hardware, looking up parallel ports or serial ports or USB ports 
will give you lots of information. information on how to make cables 
(cat 5, telephone, IDE, SCSI, etc.) will give you some pointers on how 
they're set up.

also, look up "basic stamps", they're 8 bit little computers (that 
unfortunately won't run Euphoria) but have tremendous I/O capabilities.
