LEGO! (not offtopic)

I have a infrared tower attached to my serial port, and I want to send a 
stream of bytes down it. How would I go about doing this in Euphoria?

I've got a lego robotics system, so I'm working on a remote control :o). 
Now, as an aside - the tower also comes in a usb flavour, would it be any 
more/less difficult to use the usb port?
