Ann: Total Commander plugin for reading Unix mailbox files released

Hi all,

this is a shameless plug(in) .. smile

I'd like to announce the first public release (v1.00 beta) of my plugin
for reading Unix mailbox files (.MBX) for Total Commander (TC).
AFAIK this is the first TC plugin, that was written in Euphoria.

In case you don't know Total Commander, it's a very powerful, versatile
and reliable file manager, so to say the "Swiss army knife" for the
Windows PC. smile You can get a full functional shareware version at
   http://www.ghisler.com/

My plugin can be downloaded at
   http://luethje.de.vu/prog/

After the beta test phase, there will also be a link at the official
TC plugin page.

Using this plugin, TC can handle a MBX file like a folder, that contains
EML files (= the mails) -- 'read only' in this first version.

The messages can be sorted by subject, size, or time.
Each mail has a time stamp according to it's header "Date" field. Since
this time stamp is expressed in Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) for
all mails, messages from all parts of the world (e.g. on a mailing list)
can be sorted by time in a consistent way.

You can view the content of selected mails, compare the contents of
2 mails in the same or in different MBX files, and extract individual or
all messages. You can search MBX files for duplicate mails, and more ...

Some mail programs cannot handle their MBX files any more, when they
become too large. In this case, TC together with this plugin can be very
valuable, to extract the mails, and thereby save them.

Technically, the plugin is just a 32-bit Windows DLL, that can be used
by any Euphoria/C/Delphi/<whatever> program.

I'll release the source code later, maybe together with a small template
for writing TC plugins in Euphoria. Before doing so, I must collect the
code from my several private libraries, translate the comments from
German to English, probably add some more comments etc.

Thanks again to Elliot for his essential help!

Best regards,
   Juergen
