Programmers Editor in Linux/FreeBSD (ATTN: Ken Rhodes)

Ken, are you still running the Moonshine IDE? I'm lookin' for a
programmers editor (if I can't get ed to behave).

The thing I like about ed is that it will convert from DOS to Linux.
Other editors just leave the dumb DOS stuff in there and that can screw
things up. :/
