hmm don't listen to them, modplug tracker is the most evil thing in existence...
  if you're feeling
really adventurous, you can try buzz (www.buzz.scene.org), but that's really
 wack and only handles
it's own native files (.bmw, .bmx)

if you're looking to make .xm, .s3m, .mod files, you must use versatracker,
 though
(http://www-inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~kagrama/vst/).  the interface is great, and
 it even runs under
win nt 4.0 :)
