[DOSes] I installed Candelra Open Dos on my system for a time, but I had put a lot of effort into configuring it under MS-DOS and what dove me to uninstall it was having to reconfigure my multiple boot configurations in my config.sys, but other than having to do that it was quite good, Win3.11 worked, and so did a lot of my other programs. I don't have a network so I couldn't test the netware. I think euphoria still worked as my password is a euphoria program. ( I don't use that at the moment as my family doesn't have a access to my PC, actually it's the families on loan to me. When I can afford a new one I'll have to write a Eu prog to send the files out the serial port to copy the HDD. It'll give me a reason to devolp a com protoco-lish thing.) Open Dos came with it's own memory managers including a DPMI managers. It even had a nice configuration program to change settings in you autoexec.bat and config.sys implicitly eg Checkboxes like [X] Load DPMI Manager etc. Free DOS is only a beta release. I may re-install it this weekend a check it how Eu runs, I'll even try other proggies. --- Sincerely, Mathew Hounsell Mat.Hounsell at mailexcite.com Free web-based email, Forever, From anywhere! http://www.mailexcite.com
