The acronym GUI stands for "Graphical User Interface" and
            CGI stands for "Common Gateway Interface"

The only things in common are that they are both interfaces and have a TLA.

In short,

* CGI is a set of rules and operations that standardize the way a program can
get and send web pages.

* GUI is a method of using non-text-only items to present information to a
progam's user. Windows uses a GUI but DOS does not.
