Off subject - No GUI !
This is a little off topic, but I finally have an OS I can
live with! I am running Windows 98 with ONLY a DOS shell
loaded so there's no GUI overhead. ALL of my Windows
programs (Photoshop, Office 97, Netscape, etc.) work
BEAUTIFULLY (as long as you don't mind a lot of typing).
And even better, everything run SO much faster. If anyone
uses Outlook for e-mail, you know how long the wait is to
startup/shutdown. Without a GUI, it takes less that half a
second to startup or shutdown!
I won't waste any more valuable time, but if anyone is
interested in losing the GUI, and finally being free from
desktop hell, send me a reply, and I'll post some .ini
files and such
