I use an old version of pkzipc (commandline, freeware, v4.0[?]), but
this may be hard to find - at pkware you'll see version 9 (payware),
use Google instead.

I have tried infozip and it did work but I can't remember all the
details. Some of the docs were a little vague re commandline.

I can confirm that 7zip comes with a command line program, which would
seem to be your best bet, and is available on both windows and linux,
though I have not personally tried it.
