A bit, thanks. I've run every virus checker I can get my grubby mitts
on, and a couple of spyware checkers, all came up blank. So I restored
(approx!) 368 windows system files off the CD. It still does it ;-(

One thing it might well be is just normal dynamic DNS/keep alive
connects. They all seem to resolve to somewhere on blueyonder (my
ISP), so the evidence does point away from anything to do with you &
your code. I'm a bit of a novice with all that stuff though. I'll keep
looking.
