That is exactly right.

Also renaming the euinc.conf in ~/ to .euinc.conf did the trick.

I agree, there should be some defaults set in, with a cascade of confs adding to
configurations (?)

The inno installer is windows only, the beauty of this system, is that you
install the files in your linux, and doun't have to worry about setting
environment variables. At all. You can put them any where you like in your
already set u path, or even in a local unpathed directory (for standalone progs)
and the conf file will tell eu where to find everything. This would make life so
much easier for new comers.
