 Yep, Bob implemented the shebang:
 #!/home/usr/backendu
  and automated the systme call to "chmod +x prog.il"
  upon my request.  Its really a neat feature. 
  A very tiny executable file is created instantly.

 I think this whole shebang thing is a Highlander
 culture - "There can be only one"  :)
  
 Pete, how about coming on over to Linux and porting
 your editor to EuGTK or WxEuphoria?
