Interesting. For quite some time now I=92ve been experimenting with AI. Some of the th= ings I have done involved training systems using my archived e-mails. This see= ms to be an effective method. No doubt many others have had the same idea. I= =92ve also let some of my programs eaves drop on chat rooms using MS Chat. It happens to be very well suited for that sort of thing. Just imagine what = MS AI must have over heard any one of us say in irc. Someday, years from now, those people who knew me now will exclaim "wow, she was right!" but they will not be able to say that on the intern= et. Microsoft claims to have an interest in what is going on, and what better way than to offer free email, read and archive that email, and then make money by selling advertising in the emails? What will they possibly use those emails for? Heh. Before the lawsuit was final in the OS/browser monopoly wars, MS split off their Ai program, so it would not be affected= in any way by the lawsuit. You can bet it will be learning about actual huma= n writing habits by practicing on those emails, and remembering them. Just wait 10 years (or less), when MS makes it available online, and ask it wh= at *your* favorite color is. Kat
