Notice I said "contributing-member" of society... meaning, "harm none," or
whatever those earth-loving, tree-hugging fruits and veggies say... heh. ;)

Where you are taught, "turn the other cheek," "do unto others as you would
have done to you," "love your enemy," etc... Sounds like a good system for
societal survival to me! Values that could prolong all life...

Where you are taught "kill the infidel," "blow yourself up and you'll get 70
virgins in the afterlife," "turn in your neighbor if they're wearing their
hair an inch too long" (happening TODAY over there), etc. Horrible way to
sustain a society, much less enable the "pursuit of happiness."

Uh oh... this is veering off topic!!! <steering hard to get back on
course...>

I theorize we could all start off with the SAME well-built AI program and
then each train it differently. We all start out as human beings with the
same exact potential and the same exact experience... birth. Where we go
from there is primarily (99%) a result of our environment (which includes
influences of parental units).

They will and they can. It's a matter of what training they receive after
that.

So, we just need to build a baby.

Think about our brains, though... it stores terabytes (if not more) of data.
How can we expect any less of an AI?!?!? Our brain+eye can process visual
images faster than any super-computing super computer known to man... and
more accurately and intelligently.

Why can't it just have books... information stored outside its brain? Yes,
it then has to know how to access "books" and use the info therein...

So, it appeals to its "parent" for those things until it can establish
itself as a valuable and contributing member of society. ;)

Sure, especially if that program can find drug dealer bank accounts and
empty them into charitable organization bank accounts. ;)
