Hi All, I have been trying to figure out the best way of conducting a survey and have drawn a blank! Unless someone else wants to investigate a Web based solution, I propose a completely manual system (even in the 21st century!!!). (If no one else offers I'll post a message in a few days to request everyone's list of questions to add to the survey.) The process I suggest: 1. Anyone interested sends me a list of things they would like to see in the survey. 2. After about a week? I'll tabulate the list and post it on the mailing list for review. 3. Anyone who wants the survey modified can email me and I'll make the change. 4. After 3 or 4 days of review time I'll send the survey to the mail list where anyone who wishes to particate can fill in their answers and email me privately. 5. After (say 2 weeks??) I'll tabulate the responces and post the results. How does this sound to everyone? I'm willing to organise it, but if anyone else feels it is something they would like to do I'd be very happy for them to do it. Apart for Euphoria enhancements and libraries I'd also like to add to the survey questions like: * What platform(s) do you currently use Euphoria on? (DOS32/Windows/Linux) * What Euphoria ports are you likely to use in the future? (DOS/Euphoria/Linux/No More) * What platforms would you like Euphoria to support? * What types of programs do you currently write? (Games/Business Applications/data manipulation/.../other .. specify?) * What types of programs would you like to write if Euphoria had more features? (Just list types of programs not what features you would like) * Do you currently distribute software to other people? ..if no would you like to distribute programs to other people in the future? * How long have you been using Euphoria? * Does Euphoria have all the features you require now, with no major improvements or new libraries? * If you didn't use Euphoria what other language would you use? I'd also like to target the current major Euphoria projects like Win32lib and the IDE to get some in depth feedback on what users currently use these tools for, and what future changes people would like. Thanks Ray Smith
