I don't have Direct Cable Connection installed on this PC, and I haven't done this in a number of years; but IIRC, you can use DCC to establish a SLIP (serial line IP) connection that allows you to use the other PC's IP resources. I'm sure there are a dozen other things that need to be configured in Windows land to make it work, but that should be the core of what you're looking for. Michael J. Sabal
