Our postal codes seem a lot simpler to deal with (ie: V0R 2W0, T6H 0P2), with the first three characters representing the region (Vancouver Island and South Edmonton in the examples), and the last three, the code for the specific post office that deals with the mail (Shawnigan Lake and Office #71 in the examples).
