This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0019_01C15860.19A78C00 charset="iso-8859-1" Lee, Here is a beginning of a program for a text email viewer. Although you really wanted a DOS based viewer, I'm not familiar enough with Jiri's widgets to do that right now, so I made this for Windows. You can make the filename it reads to be whatever you want, right now it's "email.txt". And I included that sample email file you sent with the viewer, so anyone else who wanted to see it work could. It can certainly be expanded and or improved upon, but it does seem to work. The major difficulty was to make the act of *selecting* an email from the list be recognized, but Euman made a series of suggestions which solved that problem. It lacks a search facility (but because it's editor based rather than databased, it shouldn't be too hard to implement), & could maybe use a better "header tag" finder (in case "To:" or "From:" etc happen for some reason to be included *inside* an email post, oops, I just did that.....ok, I just fixed that, it'll only look for those words at the very beginning of a line, but that's still not totally bullet-proof), and the built-in sort facility in the listview column heads is case sensitive, so "RE:" is not put with "re:". On the plus side, using that built-in sort facility does *not* mess up the indexing for retrieving the messages, which I thought it would. And you could make different font size, add color, etc. Let me know what you think.
