Hmmm... OK, the exw/exu is valid for wxEuphoria, but ex?
Only the most trivial programs work on both ex.exe and exw.exe.

"Point 3" is therefore not getting my vote, maybe though:

  However the file fred.ex exists, perhaps you meant ex fred?

might help avoid some newbie confusion. Just the blunt message, I am not
advocating that exw.exe offers to 'system("ex fred")', you understand.
