it is certainly good programming practice to do so.

maybe a x-ref of libs in an online file for all programmers to view.
so they can check what is out there already and not include it again.
if they want to try and keep zip files small.
A: libname (ext)  e ,ew,eu
   B: owner programs
   C: or used by following programs:

this would not be a definitive method though.. no version checking
