Serial port communications?

Hi all,
I want to make a program that needs to use the RS232 serial communications
(COM) port on a windows pc.
I noticed that the OPEN-command has an option to access the serial port
(COM1, COM2, AUX). Does anybody have any experience with this? In other
words: does it work? smile
