Yup, Rob said: "I've been aware for a long time that the support for DOS on NT etc. is a bit flaky around the edges." I'm having troubles too with NT. What works fine on Win98, messes up a lot on NT, in fact NT's reaction of choice to what looks like harmless code is to freeze up. I can sometimes get out with the three-fingered salute, but often not. Reboot. And I'm not using mouse routines. Tracking down the problems is hard or impossible so far. Sometimes time() used for pauses seems to be the culprit, but when I test time() separately from various programs, it works. ??? I am doing just DOS stuff with ee.exe... Of course all this is professional development. Crashingly yours, --Quark
