Sure. I'd like to hear some of your ideas - Nate ---------- From: Jeffrey Fielding <JJProg at CYBERBURY.NET> To: EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU Subject: Re: Proposal for Micro$soft Haters Date: September 23, 1998 6:47 PM I don't hate Microsoft, in fact I think they make some very good software, but it's complex and imperfect. I think it would be possible to create an OS in Euphoria, just as long as it doesn't turn out like the QBOS project I was working with for a while (one day all the messages just stoped coming, and QBOS wasn't mentioned until months - or possibly a year later). I mean an OS, not a SHELL. It would be much easier to create a shell, but it would be possible to convert Euphoria into Assembly or C. In fact, I have been working on (but haven't gotten very far) some C++ files to add Euphoria stuff to C++, and then I would make a converter. I would be glad to join the EUOS team. I have a lot of ideas, and I am a good programmer in Euphoria as well as C, C++, some Assembly (not so good at that), Java, Basic and many other languages. I would really like to see a stable, fast, powerful, small, and easy to use (and program) OS, and I think Euphoria is a great language for it (even better than Java in some ways). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to organize this project? If you'd like to hear my ideas, tell me. Jeffrey Fielding JJProg at cyberbury.net ----------
