something fishy and a question

when i use the bitmap.ex file that came with euphoria 1.4, when it loads the picture there's this thick red square that puts itself on the border of the screen. it never did that before. i tried closing and opening up DOS again, but it still happened. Sometimes the color is different. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all. And i have a question: Can you use read_bitmap to read a GIF file and use display_image to display it?
