thanks pete and jiri, i had looked thru the euph archives,
and when i had first read the scale.e description, i guess
i read it wrong. had the impression that it worked on
.bmp's stuck in my head...
great routine. justa wot de doctur oardered.
kudos to you all: jiri, rob and colin.

now to work on flipping horizontally, vertically,
and rotating (that should prove FUN--not), and after
that, perhaps some curve and polygon routines...
