Of course, irc is 24-7 world-wide, only non-machine life hasto sleep sometimes.
And those in the americas, .uk(+), and Oz will be in different sleep cycles.

Different heated topics can be in different channels, so even tho you can be in
several discussions at once, the threads of each topic are in specific windows.

For instance, meet up in #Euphoria, discuss prefixes in #eu-prefixes , discuss
date-time in #eu-dt , discuss etc in #eu-etc. Merely suggestions, pick your own
channel names. You pop open the channel you want discuss, mention it in
#Euphoria, and discuss that with those who join in your #channelname. You can be
in many rooms at once, irc clients can allow you to tile your #channels on the
screen so they are all visable, or have tabs you click on when they change color
(which shows something happened, like someone said something).

If you want to show up, but don't know what an irc client is, see:

http://www.ircreviews.org/clients/
or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_IRC_clients

and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat

and of course google. IM grew out of irc, and the channels are sometimes called
"chat rooms". There's browser-based irc clients, web-based irc clients, and
dedicated clients of various complexities and abilities for all OSs/platforms
(even the olde C64). Most are free. For windoze, i recommend mirc. You do not
need to "register" yourself or give any information to anyone to use irc, and you
can google for anonymous irc resources if you want.

I once submitted a 100% Eu irc client to the archives, as well as mirc-eu
(allowed eu code to run behind mirc) and eu-mirc (allowed mirc's gui, goto,
dynamic variables, and etc behind eu) clients. That code prolly will no longer
run on the current Eu or win32lib, batteries are not included, your mileage may
vary, and caveats do not include tomatoes or lettuce.

An option to this meeting is a bot to log the channels and post them online, or
accessable via a command to relay them, or they could be emailed, etc etc., for
those interested but cannot stay during the length of the event(s).
