Simple
There are several ways I will explain the easiest first.
FIRST WAY
1. If you are using a mode that has multiple screen pages
you can flip between two of them. THIS is to prevent
flicker.
2. bckgrnd = the background bitmap
3. image = image to be moving
4. display bckgrnd to screen
Hopefully you can display it to a page that is not
the present viewing page
5. display image onto same page or screen
6. if you have 2 or more pages now flip that page viewable
7. repeat processes 4, 5, & 6
SECOND WAY
1. bckgrnd = the background bitmap
2. image = image to be moving
3. display bckgrnd to screen
4. display image onto screen
5. overwrite image with portion of bckgrnd that belongs
there
6. repeat processes 4 & 5
THIRD WAY
1. bckgrnd = the background bitmap
2. image = image to be moving
3. display bckgrnd to screen
4. display image onto screen
5. move & display image onto screen
6. write portion of bckgrnd that is no longer
occupied by the moved image.
7. repeat processes 5 & 6
Last method is most difficult and should not need
multiple screen pages.
HOPE this helps.
